The 4th Annual Mine Rescue Competition in Turkey.
The 4th Annual Turkish Mine Rescue Competition will take place in Turkey from September 22 to 25, 2026.
The competition is organized and hosted by the Turkish Mining Industry Association (TMD), a full member of the International Mines Rescue Body (IMRB).
Invitations to participate in the competition have been sent to all IMRB members by the Turkish Mining Industry Association (TMD).
The organizers invite the IMRB community to observe the competition and the rescue techniques currently used in Turkey.
The host country plans to include a simulated fire in an above-water container as a key competition scenario in one of the competition exercises to create a realistic simulation of flames.
The event, organized by Çayeli Bakır, will bring together 15 of the largest mining companies and will feature an exhibition area dedicated to occupational health and safety.
Brief information:
- Participation: Admission is free for observers who are IMRB members. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.
- Logistics: The region is served by the Rize-Artvin and Trabzon airports, and there are local 5-star hotels available.
- Exhibition: Companies interested in sponsorship or equipment demonstrations may request a sponsorship package directly from the organizers.
