October 19 in the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrate Rescuer's Day - a professional day of those who conduct rescue work and contribute to the protection of people and territories from the consequences of emergency situations of man-made and natural disaster.

The date has been celebrated since 2008, annually on the anniversary of the founding of the State Committee for Emergency Situations.
