Mine Rescue Services in the Republic of Kazakhstan provide emergency and rescue services to subsoil users in the mining and coal industry.
Most mine rescue services use unified types of devices, equipment, machinery and
other types of equipment; have similar methods of training the personnel to act in extreme
situations.
In their daily work rescuers are engaged in theoretical and practical training for work in
extreme conditions, including practicing acquired theoretical and practical skills at various
regional competitions.
Competitions are held once a year on the site of the largest division of the rescue
service (Karaganda city), which invites representatives and teams of all interested rescue
services and formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of national rescuers competitions - is to improve professional skills in
conducting rescue work, promote the status of rescuers among employees of enterprises
served, and exchange the experience, skills and advanced technology of rescue work.
The competition is held in three stages. The first stage is a complex task "Exploration of
mine workings and assistance to victims".
The second stage - is "Fire extinguishing", the elimination of the source of fire in conditions of high danger. Practice various methods of fighting fires.

As an innovation, they have recently begun to use the surface mine-rescue range, which
has no analogues in Kazakhstan.
The construction of the range has been carried out for several years and is regularly
updated with new technological modules and mechanisms to expand the variety of rescue
operations. Rescuers from the Russian Federation and observers from Poland repeatedly took
part in open national competitions.
The range is a sequential set of different structures on the surface (modules of horizontal and vertical mine workings of different cross sections, different types of excavation, a smoke chamber, a main water pipeline, various mining equipment, mechanisms, etc.).
The range allows simulating situations that may arise during the elimination of the accident in the underground mine workings.
The presence of a high observation platform above the range, allows observers to conduct photo and video fixing the actions of rescuers.
The range is used both for regular training and during the competition at the final stage
- the relay, the most spectacular and emotional event, that allows to attract a large number of
spectators to this competition.
At the various stages of the relay tests the skills acquired working with various
mechanisms, tools and tactics for emergency response within a certain time limit.
The judge board evaluates teams on several criteria, including their compliance with
safety procedures by participants, accuracy and speed of executions the tasks.
High requirements for the judging staff to the level of rescuers training is not so much
due to the scale of the competition, as the specific work of rescuers in a dangerous and
disastrous environment.
Certainly, the main task of the competition - is to make the necessary adjustments in the
system of practical training the rescuers.
In addition, by the results of national competitions are determined the best teams and
the best rescuers for the selection and their further preparation for international competitions.
Systematic work with the team, constant training, practice and experience gained by the
rescuers at various competitions has brought good results. The Kazakhstani rescuers of the
"
Komir" team at the IMRC-2018 international competitions in Yekaterinburg, Russia for the first
time took third place in the overall team competition.
Rescue contest is a good exchange of experience, testing and demonstration of their
abilities in unfamiliar conditions, which eventually increases the safety of rescue work.
